Introduction

This course is offered to support professional (but also personal) approaches to deal with environment and situations where diversity and/or polarity is negatively affecting the overall purpose of an organization, community, project or relationship. The approach is based on the alignment of different sides by a common purpose (being coherent with its purpose). With this course, we aim to elevate the consciousness of leaders and decision-makers, as well as negotiators and mediators, to reframe the strong beliefs and differences of opinions into a common, higher-level Purpose. We aim to revert the polarities created by fights of, and for diversity into a celebration of diversity as the main source of improving decision-making processes and problem-solving situations. By the end, the more perspectives are included in an equation to solve problems, the better outcomes we will achieve.

Objective

With this masterclass, you should learn how to unleash the potential of the diversity existing within your team by providing the right environment, language, and process to be aware of the biases guiding thoughts and learning generative listening to build on differences rather than fight because of them. You should be ready to handle situations where diversity is creating polarities and productivity is decreasing because of the conflict raised as a consequence.

Pillars and foundation

This course was first developed by Lara Bezerra while she was CEO of Roche India to help her directors face the increasing diversity in their teams in the most productive way. She researched about it, took her experience, and built this training for her team It was presented to members of YPO (Young President Organization), NSI chapter in one of its learning events end of 2023 with great feedback. It is the result of over 30 years of senior executive and leadership experience across three continents. Her unique leadership style is the result of a diverse learning approach that includes quantum physics, psychology, and ancestral philosophy. Her approach is based on the belief that everyone can be at their best, become a leader, and increase their productivity exponentially by living their purpose and using their work as a tool to achieve it (for the greater good).

As per Jacob Morgan's research, the main challenges leaders of 2030 will face are, among others, leading diverse teams, focusing on doing good, and making the organization human. In this training, these three are tackled. In this specific masterclas, the principles of the U Theory of Prof Otto Sharmer were used to develop part of the approach. The teachings here, as they explain the process of bias and put it into a positive perspective, create positive neuroplasticity, bringing a neuro productivity that becomes embedded in the personality of the person, meaning a true transformation that generates a positive impact in the organization and environment where the person leads. As a consequence, this significantly improves the organizations' neuro-cognition behavior (the decision-making process of the companies).
